Fostering… share in success

 Building fostering knowledge

Just a little over a year ago we launched our weekly blog series. Our goal was to write on matters affecting fostering. We have experienced a great reaction and we shall continue covering issues that will be of interest and concern to our existing foster carers – as well as anyone else who appreciates our efforts to provide interesting and stimulating content. Whilst we are pleased with the reaction, we do not forget that generally this is a year of real pressure: in 2016 – across the UK 9,000 foster families are needed – up on last year.

We continue to strive to find suitable applicants with a spare bedroom and the time available to provide a loving and stable home environment for a child in need.

Call us to hear about the benefits if you start fostering with Rainbow

Fostering with Rainbow brings many benefits

We are delighted with our incentive scheme for fostering. Any of our existing foster carers who can recommend a friend to become a foster carer with our agency will receive £500 once that person has been approved and had their first foster child placed with them.

Additionally, any existing foster carer fostering with another organisation, but who wishes to transfer over to Rainbow Fostering Services, is also entitled to a bonus under our fostering transfer scheme. They will receive a £2000 bonus after approval, for carers who have children already placed with them on a long-term basis and £500 for any foster carers who do not have children placed with them.

And the good news at the end of this fostering rainbow…great reaction back for one of our recent visits: ‘We would like to let you know that we attended the trampolining session at Oxygen Jump with the children yesterday and went to Pizza Hut for a meat afterward and it was brilliant. We also would like to say a big “THANK YOU” to Rainbow, and especially to Richard (Rainbow’s Youth Participation Officer) for organising such a wonderful experience for us and for our children. We surely will be attending more trips organised by Richard this summer as he is doing a great job.

Thank you again Richard – from all of us
