We are proud to support all children and young people, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, language or background.

We encourage every child to embrace who they are. One way we do this is by matching children with families of the same ethnicity and religion.

  • Refugees and Asylum Seekers

    According to UNHCR, over half of the world's refugees are children. They may have witnessed or experienced violent acts and, in exile, are at risk of abuse, neglect, violence, exploitation, trafficking or military recruitment. We recruit people from all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds to assist and protect displaced children.

  • Children with Trauma

    Children with trauma may have been neglected or abused. Depression, anger or withdrawn behaviour can be common amongst such children. We provide customised training and support to ensure foster carers are therapeutically trained to support children with trauma.

  • Children with Disabilities

    Our foster carers are specially trained in caring for children and young people with health issues. These can cover ADHD, autistic spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, hearing and/or visual impairments through to children with physical disabilities or life-limiting conditions.

  • Children with Complex Needs

    Complex needs may include: Educational, ADHD, GDD, Autism, Asthma, Asperger Syndrome, Cerebral palsy/spasticity, Diabetes and Obesity. As UK’s leading independent fostering agency, we commit to providing all the support and additional training that will be required.

Youth Participation

Our team work with foster carers helping them to support the ambitions of the children and young people they care for. We help monitor their educational progress, as well as their social and personal development.

A large part involves the planning of a wide variety of trips and activities throughout the year. We motivate all children to learn, make friends and have fun!

Childrens’ Awards Ceremony

At Rainbow, we celebrate our children and young people’s achievements; big or small. We recognise and reward young people for their progress.
