What we do
We work in partnership with Local Authorities, providing loving foster parents for children and young people who need to be placed in a home on an emergency, short or long term basis.
Once placed with us, we aim to help each child have the confidence and resources to realise their goals.
Our Founders’ Story
In 1998, our founders (a foster parent power couple!) sought out to provide better outcomes for children. Whilst working in social care and being foster parents themselves, they wanted to improve the quality and support provided to children and foster carers.
Together, they began Rainbow, paving the way for outstanding support for children in care.
At Rainbow, we look after children and young people based on their needs. We safeguard all children from all different backgrounds.
From the beginning of being placed with us, young people make exceptional progress in many aspects of their lives.
Our children
Diversity and Inclusion
Rainbow is a celebration of our diverse community, representing the children and families we serve.
Our people come from different racial origins, religions, backgrounds and cultures. Among our staff, we speak more than 12 languages.
Supporting local charities
Giving back to the community is a key part of the work we do at Rainbow.
For example, we provided food parcels to MyYard, a charity focused on alleviating food poverty.
We also take part in community events which include painting and gardening, partnerning with local organisations.
