Foster with us

What is fostering?

Fostering is when children or young people are placed with foster carers as their parents are no longer in a position to care for them. This can be on a temporary basis lasting for days or weeks. It can also last for a few months or years.

You can foster if you are:

  • 21 or over

  • A UK resident or have indefinite leave to remain

  • Have a spare room

  • Have an interest and commitment to care for a child or young person

There is no age limit to fostering but you should be in reasonable health.
